Industrial Engineer

InterLink Engineering, LLC supports a wide variety of industries with a primary focus on product development, reverse engineering, and design support. Our capabilities allow us to support our customers by either performing engineering tasks at our facility or at our customer sites as required.

We are looking for two Industrial Engineers to work on-location with our customer’s team to optimize operations, especially around their production line where they heavily modify vehicles for accessibility. This opportunity is a six-month contract role with the possibility of direct hire by this client or continued work through InterLink, based on performance.

As the qualified engineer for this role, you would be expected to have experience in optimizing processes, working knowledge in Six Sigma, and to be ready to ask questions and listen to others about their current processes without being told.

As of mid-October, we are waiting for additional details from our customer, so this list is likely to be updated by November.


  • Review production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information.
  • Design production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Develop and implement process improvements and technological upgrades.
  • Design control systems to minimize costs and production issues.
  • Develop design and production standards in cooperation with management and user personnel.
  • Analyze data, review for completeness, conduct reviews with product management to gain final approval.
  • Collaborate with small team and keep project confidential.
  • Support Lean and Quality initiatives to reduce variability in designs.
  • Use of MS Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Support Product launch in Production environment – training and quality inspections.

Physical Requirements:

Overall Characteristics:

  • Bachelors’ of Science in industrial engineering or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of Lean practices.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Documentation and organization skills.
  • Experience with Dozuki and SolidWorks preferred.
  • Automotive experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a factory environment.
  • Motivated, self-starter with the ability to learn quickly.
  • Ability to network with associates in other departments to find needed information.

Pay and Benefits:

$20.00 – $35.00 per hour
